thru Sunday for your year-round shopping enjoyment.
Historic Harmony's festive
Christmas Market (WeihnachtMarkt) weekend each November
combines
memorable family holiday shopping experience with entertainment and
food,
all reflecting the area's German heritage.
This year's edition was held Saturday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.,
and Sunday, Nov.
11, from noon to 5 p.m.
The event's atmosphere will be much like those in German cities and
towns,
with a number of artisans in quaint individual "shops"
surrounding a tent filled
with more vendors and entertainment.
Additional vendors will be in the
museum's Stewart Hall. One lucky
visitor will win a gingerbread house.
The market also launches the holiday season for
Harmony specialty and
antiques shops.

Are You A Descendant Of The Harmony Society?
A Harmony Society Family Reunion
Throughout the 19th century, perhaps 1,000 people left the
Harmony Society for
various reasons.
They and the circumstances of their departures will
be the subject of a major
exhibit opening
in March 2008 at Old Economy Village.
At the same time the Harmony Museum
will add a presentation on departures during the society's
first decade and even before its formal creation.
